Responsible for assisting nursing staff and physician in evaluating and treating patients. Performs diagnostic procedures, drug screen collections, laboratory blood draws, and assists with clinical procedures. Responsible for maintaining testing equipment, supplies and procedure logs. Assists with medication refills as directed by physician. Responsible for precertification/authorization process and completes visit referrals as needed. Performs front office clerical duties; answers telephone and schedules patients for visits and tests, check-in/check-out patient visit. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Grad, National Registered Certifiied Medical Assistant, BLS certification.
Medical terminology, office/clerical experience.
KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE
6 mo 1 yr related experience in a medical office setting. Additional Job Information
