Job Title: Network Security Engineering Manager

People within Information and Managed Services (I&MS) are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. I&MS is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (e.g. information systems, security systems, telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies.

Primary Responsibilities

:

Provides team leadership in the development, deployment and support of network/security infrastructures, applications and technology initiatives, both from an architectural and operational perspective.

Primarily responsible for the following activities:
Serve as the manager/leader for the network & security engineering team, providing both deep technical expertise and team leadership. Considered a SME in technology field and has expert knowledge of equipment, protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.

Create project plans and budgets for network and security projects, in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery. Manage the work of team members assigned to in to achieve on-time/on-budget results. This includes collaborating with other technology teams and business units to deploy technology architectures and solutions.

Provide Tier 3-4 operational support and incident resolution, in conjunction with the Operations Team. This includes participation in Problem management - diagnosis, root-cause elimination activity , escalation, tracking and permanent resolution of complex incidents.

Perform and present technology performance analysis, capacity planning, and proactive environment updates to both overall team leadership and executive management.

Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of network and security engineers that take ownership and accountability for delivering service excellence.

Ensures security infrastructure is within specified Security and Audit guidelines

Work extensively with strategic hardware vendors to ensure network architecture meets or exceeds industry deployments.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate and recommend products and services that may create value in supporting security/network aspects of the enterprise

Participate in the development of standards documentation and ensure documentation is updated as necessary to reflect current operating environment and industry best practices..

Identify and implement innovation & continuous improvement in cost and quality of the team

Lead career development and annual process activities for team members

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years network security experience

Minimum 4 years supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; including demonstrated technical writing skills required for documentation, standards, procedures, and policies.

Excellent understanding of network products and components

One or more of the following security certifications- CCSP, CISSP, CCNP+S, GIAC, CCIE Security, ITIL, highly desired.

Ability to multi-task projects

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong organizational skills

Working knowledge of group dynamics

3+ years experience managing infrastructure projects
