Overview:
Ensure that MMG Private Label Merchandise meets all MMG Quality Standards and maintains compliance with all Federal, State, and Industry Requirements
Key Accountabilities:
Adhere and enforce MMG's Product Evaluation Requirements for Private Label Merchandise
Determine required testing for each season by attending line reviews with Product Team
Adhere to Time and Action Calendars and ensure that all Product Testing is completed in a timely manner.
Review Product Testing Reports and communicate findings to the MMG Product Team, Overseas Offices, and/or Domestic Suppliers
Detailed Accountabilities:
Determine which styles and colors need to be tested and create a Test Request Form detailing the test methods, proposed fiber content, and
recommended care instructions
Determine additional testing requirements based on product claims and development needs
Issue the Test Request Forms to the Overseas Office and/or Domestic Supplier
Analyze Product Testing Reports, determine a Corrective Action Plan for any failing reports, and communicate findings to the MMG Product Team,
Overseas Offices, and/or Domestic Suppliers
Support the MMG Product Teams, Overseas Offices, and/or Domestic Suppliers with any questions/ concerns that may arise during the testing
process
Arrange or attend touch base meetings as needed (Department Meetings, Supplier Meetings, MMG Product Team Meetings, New Supplier Set Up
Meetings)
Adhere to the Time and Action Calendars and follow up on any pending items, making sure that Product Testing Reports are received prior to the
Final Garment Inspection
Maintain physical and electronic files as required
Work with the MMG Approved Labs as needed to ensure that processes are being followed correctly and/or to answer any questions
Maintain Weekly Workload Tracker and forward to Direct Supervisor
Respond to correspondence in a timely manner
Keep open communication with Direct Supervisor
Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of test methods and standards
Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
Strong data interpretation and communication skills
Detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to work well independently and adapt well to a changing environment
Self motivated, proactive, and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and knowledgeable in all other Microsoft Office applications
