Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Assistant Project Manager at FT. Knox, KY. The incumbent will be f ully responsible for the successful completion of all aspects of the assigned contract between EGS and the Client. Responsible for maintaining a strong, trained and disciplined workforce. Manages the overall operations of the contract, including: the performance of daily operations, scheduled maintenance; administration of subcontracts for facilities work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and insure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses at a minimum level which is consistent with sound maintenance practices and contractual requirements.
Provide administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff in completing work assignments.
Discuss, plan and delegate major project assignments to supervisory staff; determine building and maintenance priorities that are of significant scope.
Advise, discuss and inform Facilities Staff members on physical facility matters and problem areas.
Ensures proper upkeep of facilities to include heating, ventilation, sanitation, general appearance of buildings and emergency situations affecting the facilities.
Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources and maintains proper inventory control, maintenance and consumable supplies.
Maintains sufficient records, files, controls, procedures to insure management and work production.
Develop training sessions for employees who require them.
Establish a formalized approach to planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and facilities service.
Ensure that all work meets established performance standards, that customer needs are fulfilled, and t hat workers are appropriately trained, qualified, and certified to safely accomplish assigned tasks.
Assure all Joint Commission (TJC), NFPA and OSHA codes and standards are being maintained to the highest standards.
Assure all data is correctly collected and entered in to the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS-FM).
Run the essential reports from the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS-FM) system that is required by the facility management to include weekly and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling reports. Other report may be required.
Opening/closing service order that is requested by the facility management department and submitting final copy of all service order documentation to including but not limited to any O&M manuals, manufacturer’s dates, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Must have an minimum of 4 years experience in industrial, commercial or hospital-type facilities planning, maintenance, repair and operation.
Strong experience with RS Means facilities construction estimating, MAXIMO CMMS, and/or Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS-FM) and MS Office software.
Knowledge and experience with Joint Commission (TJC), NFPA and OSHA codes and standards.
