The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within IDS. The Operational Analysis & Simulation Department in SADID has a charter to develop analysis tools and simulations that support programs across the IDS portfolio, including surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems.
A systems engineer is needed to collaborate with a team to prototype advanced concepts and analyze candidate approaches for discrimination and lethality determination of objects in ballistic missile launch events.
Combinations of high fidelity simulations and functional models will be used to generate test data to support quantified prioritization of alternative approaches.
A variety of techniques and tools will be used to perform analysis.
Results will be documented in technical papers and Powerpoint briefings.
This position can be a Salary Grade E01 or Salary Grade E02 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or other relevant technical discipline.
Matlab programming experience.
Java and/or C++ programming experience.
Understanding of basic statistics.
Ability to work in a team.
Understanding of radar processing.
Classification / discrimination experience.
Existing Secret or TS clearance.
