The Digital Energy SaaS Sales Director will be responsible for developing and effectively managing a dedicated team of Sales Managers that will be responsible for selling GE’s Software as a Service solution.
In addition, in this role you will:
Drive the overall Go-To-Market Strategy for the business. Be responsible for the execution of the SaaS Sales strategy for Utility accounts primarily in North America and globally as needed
Ensure the development of new leads and market opportunities in the territory to ensure a robust opportunity pipeline to meet the goals of the business.
Develop and execute commercial strategy. Ensure there is active engagement and coordination with all levels of the Digital Energy regional sales structure
Mentor and coach the Sales Team on strategy and complex opportunities, ensure the SaaS sales manager team is effective in the following areas:
-Work with customers to determine their CTQs and appropriate solutions needs
-Outline, present and sell the value of our services that can benefit our customer
-Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE
-Partner with peers and management to enhance selling techniques and approaches in line with both the region’s growth objectives and Digital Energy’s Smart Grid initiatives
-Leverage distributor channels and regional sales managers to extend reach within the territory
-Develop sufficient technical expertise in GE’s SaaS offerings
-Provide market dynamics input such as competitive intelligence to the Marketing and Business team
-Make effective Customer presentations at all levels of the customers’ organizations
Manage teams expenses within budget
Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders and as sold CM plan
Provide deep market Segment knowledge and expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or other technical field
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Sales, Commercial Operations, or Marketing for services based offering or enterprise solutions offering
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Energy industry
Ability and willingness to travel as required (approximately 60%) as required

Excellent command of oral and written English skills
Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution hardware, systems, markets and customers
Experience developing and executing successful growth strategies
Work efficiently without direct supervision
Desire to work outside of boundaries and drive change
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Deep product and domain expertise
Experience selling complex operations software and/or services
Successful orders growth track record
Self-starter, positive attitude, committed to the success of the business
Six Sigma Certification (GE employees only)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong team player, work ethic, and commitment to job
