Opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced IT systems administrator to help manage and deploy the voice and data infrastructure of a growing, cutting edge technology enterprise headquartered in Chantilly, VA. Individual must be a self-starter who can lead projects and solve complex issues from start to finish with little supervision. The SSA will be a member of the Information Technology team and report to the Senior Director of IT. The primary responsibilities of the SSA will be:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting in the creation and on going support of network software, files, and security systems. This includes security around all system user accounts and passwords in Active Directory, corporate email system, and related applications and services.
Assisting in LAN/WAN related modifications and changes, including hardware and software issues, and ongoing administration of the corporate network.
Manage and monitor the corporate server infrastructure based primarily on Microsoft, Dell, NetApp, Cisco and VMWare technologies
Working with all IT team members to assess and solve company wide IT issues.
Providing instruction and guidance to all end users on voice and data related products as needed.
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures associated with the company’s voice and data networks.
Hands on support of end users and related services as needed
Participation in after hours and weekend support work as necessary
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or MIS preferred
5-7 years’ experience managing a Windows 2000/2003/2008 Active Directory and Exchange 2010/2012 environment
2-3 years’ experience designing, implementing and maintaining TCP/IP based networking
1-2 years’ experience managing a VMWare 4/5 environment, including hands on work with vMotion and vCenter technologies.
1-2 years’ experience with enterprise network storage solutions such as EMC or Network Appliance
Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Switches, Juniper VPN devices and Fortinet Security devices is highly desirable
MAC OSX support experience in a corporate environment would be highly desirable
Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to solve complex network challenges
A+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator or Server Administrator, VCP, CISSP
