To support the business mission of providing the highest quality, most innovative instrumentation to the microscopy community, the company is currently seeking qualified candidates for the newly created position of Controller.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will possess excellent problem solving skills along with demonstrated attention to detail. This position is primarily responsible for the operations and supervision of the corporate accounting department including coordinating month end close processes, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and internal management reports, processing and reviewing journal entry postings, leading and coordinating the annual financial statement review process along with the supervision of the A/P and A/R function.
Candidates must have demonstrated success developing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, ability to reconcile accounts and evaluate accuracy and effectiveness of internal controls, and the ability to assist with special projects and other duties as required in support of corporate objectives.
Qualified candidates will possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, along with the ability to develop and follow established procedures. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment), proficiency with MS Excel/Word, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
