We are a growing and extremely talented team consisting of a PHP/JQuery Application Developer, a User Interface/User Experience Designer, a Graphic Designer, and a Product Marketer--with each team member having a strong educational backgrounds and previous experience running, either a small business and/or tech startup in their respective fields. We also have access to local angel investors (one of which offered to seed fund the business, but not at the terms we wanted), top law firm & accounting firm, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and many other critical connections needed to create a successful business. But the main key to our team's cohesion, and ability to be successful, is finding great people to work with
Launch Version I: Work with our core development team to finish the remaining development for our platform to launch in 4-6 weeks.
Improve our platform for growth and scalability: Create an API and additional features our clients requests
Hiring developers: Help us find other great developers and engineers we all can work well with
Version II and beyond: Once we get investment capital, work with our development team to come up with new version of the event booking platform to expand our reach nationwide.
Application programming Expertise: PHP, AJAX, Web Services (RSS, REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc.). Advocate for the appropriate use of SAAS, design patterns, frameworks, and MVC.
Database Expertise: MySQL on Linux – Relational database design and programming, stored procedures, triggers, reporting, and administration.
Server Expertise: Apache, URL Rewrites, security, certificates, load balancing, etc.
While these are not absolutes, they should serve as a general basis in what we are looking for. Also, we’re looking for someone passionate about what we’re doing and one who believes in our idea.
Just be extremely good at PHP, jQuery and MySQL
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science recommended. However, being fully versed in the above languages is the real source of education.
We have done the heavy lifting in terms of proving and developing the concept, figuring out how it will be implemented, and finding initial clients/venues. All we need now is someone that believes in Invite Big enough to help us finish coding version 1 of the platform as a potential co-founder.
We plan to raise $500,000 in seed funding in under 12 months after launch; and we should be profitable around the same time. This could happen much sooner depending on how quickly the chosen candidate can add value. That being said the following is available to the right candidate:
• Negotiable equity in the company (based on contribution)
• Negotiable salary once we obtain funding (because none of us are planning on taking out money from the company, until it's stable)
• Ground floor opportunity and voice in shaping the company – you will be a partner, not an employee.
• We have plans to hire at a minimum 2 more engineers as employees once funded, handed select by your input to work under you. If you wait, this opportunity will work in reverse.
Lastly, it is important for the right candidate to understand that we are a group of intense and passionate individuals. We have version I of the platform in the works. And as we speak: venues have already signed up to be the first to use our platform as their primary event booking and group reservation provider; event organizers are working with us to improve the platform to suit their needs; and the company has great legal, accounting, banking, and investment advisers--all of the right ingredients for success are in place. However, we need someone to lead of development team to focus on growth and iteration for the future.
