Grant Field Coordinator
Under the direct supervision of a Grants Supervisor the Grant Field Coordinator will assist in a comprehensive, state-wide Outreach and Education Community Grant program encompassing up to 100-150 grantees statewide and a total of $43 million over an 18-month grant period. The incumbent will interface directly with grantees in his/her geographic region to monitor and provide support to ensure goals are achieved.

Compensation: Fresno, Chico, Sacramento $17.38-$26.06 + excellent benefits
Bay Area: $19.11-$28.67 + excellent benefits
Los Angeles-San Diego: $18.24-$27.37 + excellent benefits

Program Summary
The Health Benefit Exchange Program (HBEX) is a program which supports the statewide implementation of the Affordable Care Act. RHA will administer two programs to promote healthcare offered by the Exchange.

Under the contract, RHA will implement the Assisters Program, which will build and train a statewide grassroots network of organizations to provide information and application assistance to the uninsured public. In addition, RHA will design and manage the Education and Outreach Grant Program to provide funding to organizations to increase the awareness of the health plans and benefits offered by the Exchange.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in the implementation of the Grant program
    • Provide technical assistance and other capacity building supports to organizations related to reporting, monitoring and grant administration
    • Prepare, file and provide a regular summary of all grantee progress reports
    • Manage relationships with grantees and communicate strategic priorities and program initiatives when meeting with the grantee representatives
  • Ability to ensure quality program delivery and effectiveness
    • Provide assistance to grantees under the incumbent’s cognizance to address deficiencies and ensure contract compliance
    • Implement any necessary performance improvement measures
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and grantees
    • Consistently utilize and facilitate effective strategies to communicate pertinent information in a timely manner
    • Ability to strategically communicate with different stake holders effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, to think ahead and be a strong problem-solver
  • Provide program updates and training to staff
  • Facilitate regional meetings with grantees
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are searching for individuals who meet the following educational and experiential backgrounds:
  • Must have four year college degree
  • Must have experience working with non-profit and/or community based organizations
    • Preferred: Experience in the fields of health policy, education, social services, community outreach and/or public relations or Business Administration
    • Preferred: Experience in Outreach and Education and/or Grants implementation or oversight
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations
  • Must have superb organizational skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and presentations
  • High attention to detail
  • Works independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Works well under pressure and limited time frames
