Direct the daily activities of 1-14 employees in the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of a central steam or chilled water plants. Responsible for setting heating and cooling plants' objectives and priorities. Plan, organize and control activities of the plants. Responsible for staff's efficiency and productivity. Inspect jobs. Interpret/enforce policies and procedures and safety code compliance. Interview applicants/assist Superintendent in hiring and firing process. Responsible for staff's disciplines, terminations, and performance evaluations. Distribute bi-weekly paychecks. Recommend promotions, transfers, and pay increases. Keep track of daily time records of sick, vacation, timesheets, etc. Keep inventory of tools and equipment. Responsible for invoices, M tickets, and other job related paperwork. Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends. Order parts and materials. Work with vendors and outside contractors. Respond to emergency situations. Keep job site clean. Other duties as assigned.
