Responsibilities:

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The technician will work with the PI to perform laboratory experiments, with the focus on translational research into the roles of pro-resolving lipid mediators in asthma, COPD, and other airway diseases.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties: Will participate in the execution of all aspects of the proposed analyses of materials from human subjects with severe asthmaAdditional laboratory duties as needed

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS: MD with relevant laboratory coursework or laboratory work experience required.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: 1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
2. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
3. Careful attention to detail
4. Familiarity with computer databases
5. Self-directed learning and ability to work independently
6. Familiarity with basic laboratory protocols
WORKING CONDITIONS:

This day shift job will be performed in a research laboratory of an academic hospital. Basic laboratory equipment and supplies are located either in the laboratory or nearby and is readily accessible during normal working hours.
