We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Account Representative based in Chicago (Itasca), IL. The Account Rep. is responsible for prospecting and identifying sales opportunities, and growing customs brokerage and freight forwarding accounts for a West Coast territory.
Duties & responsibilities
Identify and qualify prospects and sales opportunities on the West Coast.
Uncover new sales opportunities and increase customer base.
Collaborate with outside sales and marketing on qualifying prospects.
Interact with other departments and sales staff to seamlessly implement new contracts.
Apply a complete knowledge of all the organization’s products/services and policies.
Keep records in a database of all prospects and maintain record of all phases of activities.
Learn and understand Livingston’s sales process, services, and products.
Requirements
Ability to work West Coast hours (10 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
Bachelor’s degree required
0-3 years of cold calling experience preferred, new college graduates welcome
Experience in customs or transportation industry an asset, but not required
Formal sales training or past sales experience an asset
Proven record of increasing sales opportunities and successful account management skills
Strong ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and client service skills
Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
Strong business acumen and organizational skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM programs
