Primary function will be to ensure capture of all charges for inpatient cost centers as well as reconciliation of charges.
Make decisions and work independently and as an administrative staff team member to provide for the smooth operation of staffing office and secretarial activities.
Be responsible for reconciling hospital charges for inpatient departments.
Create a friendly and cooperative atmosphere for visitors, hospital personnel and medical staff members.
Maintain poise in stressful situations and continually exhibit outstanding public relation skills.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Two years secretarial experience required.
Excellent transcription and word processing skills.
Proficient in use of all types of office equipment including current software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Page Maker and Windows).
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prefer college degree or one to two years of business school with emphasis on secretarial skills and office work.
Hospital experience preferred in addition to experience using a computer.
