Watts Constructors is looking for an experienced, Part-time Technical Support Specialist in the Guam Region .
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing on-site, hands-on Level II and Level III support for one or more specific business groups, including hardware/software support at the desktop level, coordinating and implementing jobsite setup, managing all telephone, and other support as needed for applications and hardware. A significant part of this role is to also maintain compliance with established IT and ITIL standards. Typically, this role reports to a Technical Support Manager.
Essential Duties of the Technical Support Specialist are:
Demonstrates a general understanding of Company technology, including hardware, software, networking, telephone, and the interrelation of these systems.
Provides a high level of customer service and effectively supports the technical needs of assigned customers.
Adheres to established IT standards, policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements.
Acts as a liaison between the assigned customer and the larger IT organization.
Make recommendations for hardware, software, and other systems or services that enhance the user experience, reduce IT resource needs, or increases profitability.
Build trusted relationships internally and externally.
Education: An Associates’ degree or higher is preferred, or relevant technical training and certifications as a substitution.
Experience: Candidate must have two years of IT experience in supporting desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and local area networking.
Skills: Must be customer-service oriented, proactive in anticipating and resolving problems, and able to work with diverse professions and personalities. The ability to multi-task and shift priorities frequentlyis required. Must be well organized.
