Our engineering team is responsible for the infrastructure underlying Spotify's music experience. We work on large scale distributed systems, from handling a billion playlists to streaming music to millions of users with subsecond latency and in a fault-tolerant manner. As an infrastructure team lead at Spotify, you will be leading one of the teams that build, scale and maintain these systems. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude.

Extensive experience working in agile environments (Kanban, Scrum, ...)

Extensive backend development experience.
Previous experience of leading development teams of around 10 people.
Experienced in coding in Java and python.
Linux systems knowledge (Debian-based distributions preferred.)
Strong algorithms and data structures background.
Experience of high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems and multi-threaded client-server architectures.
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Experience with NoSQL solutions (preferably Cassandra) for large-scale data solutions
Understands data-driven experimentation and performance tuning of complex systems
