You will be programming in Python! Many of our engineers started in C and C++ but fell in love with Python. There are two open positions - one for a mid level Python engineer and the other, a senior level Python engineer. We are looking for quick learners, good communication skills, and a burning desire to code in Python.
Our environment is team-oriented, casual, and friendly. We use skype quite a bit for meetings as we have a scrum environment. We build out desktop applications using Python and we also do more back end data aggregation with Python. We offer you the potential to make a substantial base salary. Minimum qualifications include professional Python experience, an understanding of either C or C++, and a love for open source. Pluses include eventlet, pydaap, pyinstaller, WX Python, WSGI, Emacs or Vim (an explanation as to why you like one or the other), Jython or IronPython, Pyjamas, Pygame, and being able to chat about threading and concurrency.
