Job Description:

of pork products, Smithfield Food's largest subsidiary
and one of America's largest meat companies.
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for
contributing to Smithfield Foodservice success by
expanding brand awareness and increasing sales profits
by carrying out the sales and marketing brand strategy.
You will be responsible for planning, managing and
leading Broker/Distributor network to deliver sales
objectives for business growth.

Job Requirements:
To be a successful candidate, you must have the

following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both
orally and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Knowledge of business planning and financial
performance measures
  • Knowledge of hospitality, foodservice industry
  • Generate maximum sales volume and profitability,
attaining sales targets on the complete portfolio
  • Achieve sales volume goals on a continuous basis as
  • Place all new products in general distribution
  • Work with National Accounts and Business Development
Manager to maximize incremental sales volume with
multi-unit accounts within the region
  • Negotiate programs, build and deliver sales
presentations execute new product launches with
Broker and Distributors
  • Develop and implement annual business plan built
from customer level up
  • Achieve full-line distribution with all conventional
distributors within the region
  • Develop personal relationship with key
decision-makers within Smithfield Packing Company
  • Control aspects of sales expense/company cost to
maximize profits

Job Requirements:
To be a successful candidate, you must have the

following Qualification & Attributes:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Food Industry experience
progressively, strategic selling experience and meat
experience is a benefit
  • Demonstrated track record of building deep and
profitable relationship. Must have a deep passion
for business success and a drive to expand customer
relationships at all levels
  • BS or BA degree
  • Proven decision-making skills with capacity for
future advancement
  • Ability to travel
