Field Software Service Engineer - Senior / Lead (Job Number: 400362)

SAIC is building a team to provide Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Solutions Sustainment support and the associated management and administration, for the delivery of a combination of hardware infrastructure and application infrastructure necessary to achieve a complete, centralized and elastic environment for Building, Hosting, Integrating, and Managing Web enabled business applications and/or application services to SEC’s Enterprise Solutions Directorate (ESD). This shall be accomplished by using agile development approaches and by integrating different technologies to include both the re-write of legacy systems and the addition of features to existing systems to maximize cost savings, resource utilization and provide a solution to unique Army business application’s hosting and management challenges. This position supports Army Communications Electronic Command (CECOM) SEC ESD.

Provides release and fielding of new products such as release process, documentation, training, and logistics to include sending and tracking the production/replication media (CD, DVD, documents) to the field in the quickest and most economical manner practicable. May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and 6+ years related experience.

Must be capable of performing analysis of basic system operations. Must have knowledge of operating systems and database management systems. Must have some experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices. Must be capable of routine system maintenance and administrative functions including: system configuration and modifications; adding, removing and replacing hardware and software items; system startup, shut down, backup and restore; database administration and maintenance; and system user access control. Desired to have a background in communications and communications connectivity. Must be medically qualified per DoD directives and available for assignment to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for extended periods.

Positions require active Secret clearance or higher, and DoD 8750 Certification. Per DoD 8570.01-M , DFARS 252.239.7001 and AR 25-2, the contractor employees supporting IA/IT functions shall be appropriately certified upon contract award. The baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8570.01-M must be completed upon contract award.

Military experience is highly desirable. Completion of a U.S. Military Service Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) or Senior NCO Academy Course and/or Officer Basic or Advanced Course is desirable.

General understanding or familiarity of the Army Personnel systems (i.e. TOPMIS II, WIAS, IPPS-A), process and/or procedures.
