Manage and process inventory and relocation of equipment for Field Engineering, Operations and Technical Services and process equipment to support Operations, Engineering and Projects.
Data entry/inventory tracking of equipment specifics upon receipt and prior to shipping.
Prep equipment for shipment, labeling and re-stocking to proper location in warehouse and spares location as needed.
Check shipping documentation to determine if items delivered fully or partially complete the corresponding purchase order.
Identify discrepancies between items received and shipping documentation and report to appropriate procurement function for resolution.
Identify any issues with received item (e.g. damage to physical product, variances between shipping documentation and actual item, missing asset tags)
Confirm DIRECTV asset receipt to trigger financial activities, such as capitalization and invoice management.
Communicate product receiving information to end user (i.e. notification of arrival)
Validate supplier affixed DIRECTV asset tags (i.e. NTC)
Based on DIRECTV asset tagging guideline and process flow, determine if DIRECTV Asset requires asset tag; follow requirements for affixing asset tag and documenting accordingly.
Create, update and maintain DIRECTV asset records in the DIRECTV asset repository/database for staged and spare assets. Identify other systems which require updating (i.e. SAP)
Perform verification of DIRECTV hardware. This can be achieved by utilizing automated discovery tools or Physical Inventories.
Where applicable, stage DIRECTV assets prior to implementation into operations environment
High School diploma or equivalency required.
2-5 years of warehousing operations experience, to include receiving, inventory control, shipping and safety procedures.
Experience with shipping and receiving (Federal Express, UPS and pallet preparation), database entry and inventory management.
Working knowledge of purchasing procedures.
Ability to complete shipping and receiving documentation.
Operate a variety of office and warehouse equipment and machines.
Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service, working with all levels within the organization.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
Proven ability to create and maintain spreadsheets (Excel) and databases.
Self-motivated and willing to accept additional responsibilities.
Knowledge of Hazmat/OSHA materials and procedures as required.
Fork lift - Basic Operations preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift heavy equipment occasionally 50-75 lbs and assist with heavier equipment as needed.
Ability of prioritize daily activities, and follow directions to completion.
Occasional overtime with the ability to work evenings, weekends and variable shift as needed.
