Hiring for an IT and communications solutions provider for Linux Software Engineer. Candidate should be experience building from scratch Linux and manipulating kernel options. Experience working with and contributing to the open source community is preferred.

Job Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot and tune IPTABLES packet forwarding performance. Candidate will participate in preparation of software specifications. Identify and recommend solutions and system functions to address requirements Assist in the design and implementation of small form factor Linux applications. Design and implement automated unit tests. Maintain designs and test documentation. Follow and improve R&D processes.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in technical related field, or 7 years of applicable experience. Must have experience working with Open source software with a focus on Linux. Ideal candidate are preferred to have experience with different architectures including Ubuntu, OpenWRT. Experience working with Software Routers preferred. Experience working with client/server architectures. Minimum 2 years' with C, C++, and/or Linux Debugging tools. Working knowledge of Perl, python, php, and Shell scripting (i.e. bash, sed, awk) Understanding of IP packet structure Experience with Web UI design and implementation
Experience with system automation and optimizing Linux for small form factor devices, MIPS, x86, AMD Geode LX800, SquashFS, OpenWRT, Ubuntu
