Acentia is seeking a Project Manager to join our team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing general support for applications maintained and operated by the client. This support will include (but not limited to) the following:
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Enhancement activities in accordance with the client policy)
Support of the client’s Governance Process for all client owned and managed applications in conjunction with the Investment and Security Management group, activities include Review, verify and update governance artifacts such as investment/capital planning, security, Enterprise Architecture artifacts on specified intervals(quarterly or annual)
Work very closely with application developers to develop system enhancements and database upgrades following the client’s SDLCM
Support Quality Assurance activities related to delivering quality products
Support and assist in initiating new projects with customers via new technologies and understanding of customer needs
7 years Project Management experience in managing software and development projects (or related experience)
Experience managing a team of 5 or more direct reports
2 years experience with Microsoft Project
Understanding of Six Sigma and Agile Methodologies are desired but not required
Experience with the managing of schedule, cost, and quality control and use of earned value to manage project success
PM report writing and presentation skills
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and broad in scope
Some experience with SDLC models
Experience with Remedy IT Service Management tools highly desirable
with EVM, eCIPIC, EA, FISMA, and Section 508 compliance
Skills and Qualities:
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Must be a team player, detail oriented, and be focused on meeting tight deadlines.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Required)
PMP certification (Required) from PMI Institute
Must currently have Public Trust level or be able to obtain Public Trust level security clearance
