This position primarily involves the design of heavy industrial structures and foundations, but also requires structual design in different market sectors as office schedules and workloads dictate. Performs analysis using both manual and computer methods. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of adapting and modifying standard techniques and criteria to address a wide variety of unique problems. Often performs layout of structures and equipment in AutoCAD or Revit software. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering from accredited program. Minimum 3 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience). Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. Working knowledge of Finite Element software required. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Individual must have experience in concrete, steel and foundation design. Must be able to sit for PE exam within one year of hire.
