NCI: As a Network Administrator (Network/System Administrator) for the Army Programs Sector at Redstone Arsenal, your prior network experience will be instrumental in ensuring the day to day operations of the local area network are compliant and efficient. Your professionalism and attention to detail will ensure the US Army customer satisfaction. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Highlights of Responsibilities
Support of the server infrastructure as well as client support activities for a remote enterprise site consisting primarily of Windows Client/Server components utilizing the Army AGM standardized Operating Systems as well as Microsoft Office components
Deploy and support Microsoft Windows based products including Active Directory 2008, Exchange 2007, IIS 6.0, Sharepoint 2007, and SQL Server 2008
Work with local and remote team members to build and support these environments through the use of various industry standard hardware and software products
Analyze, break down, and understand complex problems and document them for escalation or to communicate them effectively to other team members
Document procedures, resource allocation, rack layout diagrams, network diagrams, etc.
Work independently in a self-motivated environment
Provide troubleshooting with the following enterprise components; Microsoft Active Directory, Client Server Architectures, Windows 7, Microsoft Exchange and TCP/IP protocols
Communicate with all levels of civilian and military personnel either in written or verbal presentations.
Ensure compliance of DoD and Army IT Security policy and guidelines
Support server technologies including HP and Dell and their respective management toolsets
Support Blackberry Enterprise Services
Support certificate based authentication and authorization
Provide support of Switching, Routing, and Firewall technologies
Ensure operational Quality Assurance processes
Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows systems in a production environment
Must have a DoD Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain a Top Secret from a current Secret clearance)
Minimum of 5 years experience with documenting procedures, resource allocation, rack layout diagrams, network diagrams, etc
Minimum of 5 years experience with troubleshooting the following enterprise components; Microsoft Active Directory, Client Server Architectures, Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Exchange and TCP/IP protocols
Prior working experience with:
Server technologies including HP and Dell and their respective management toolsets
Working knowledge of DOD and Army IT security policies and guidelines
Working knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Services
Working knowledge of certificate based authentication and authorization
Working knowledge of Switching, Routing, and Firewall technologies
Working knowledge of operational Quality Assurance processes
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 8 to 10 years experience with Routine design, planning, and implementation of various levels of Secure Enterprise and Campus data/voice networks
Minimum of 8 to 10 years experience with Configuration of Overall Network Routing and Switching, VLANS, Access Control Lists, spanning tree, bridging, HSRP, load-balancing, backup routes, TACACS+, and VoIP (Cisco Call Manager & Unity Servers), Cisco Unified Communications (UCM, UCCX, MPE, Unity) NSTS and DRSN
Bachelor of Science degree in either: electrical, computer, or electronics engineering from an accredited institution
Have the ability to travel up to 25% for this position
Shift flexibility may be required as project progresses or is needed
