TITLE Senior Manager, Commercial OperationsThe Senior Manager of Commercial Operations position is focused on compliance and optimizing payments related to Novocure Oncology Products. This individual would be tasked with maximizing reim|
bursement for Novocure's products via the strategic oversight of Novocure Billing and Collections. In addition, the Senior Manager of Commercial Operations will develop and implement policies and procedures to support the timely collections and compliance with CMS, HIPAA and regulatory guidelines pertaining to billing and collections for medical products. In addition, this position will assist the Director of Commercial Operations in strategic projects.
This is an exempt position reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations and is based in Portsmouth, NH.
KEY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute strategies and formulate new initiatives to ensure departmental compliance with CMS, HIPAA and Accreditation guidelines.
Analyze and examine collection practices to optimize collections.
Network with multiple departments within insurance companies to maximize relationships, contract terms and growth opportunities.
Interact with Novocure senior staff to identify and execute strategies to increase company revenue through managed care activities.
Work closely with Novocure reimbursement, billing and commercial teams to identify contracting and process improvement opportunities consistent with organization objectives.
Employ strong project management skills by prioritizing and leading multiple tasks concurrently.
EDUCATIONAL PREREQUISITES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
College degree or 8 years of healthcare billing experience required.
Working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment, with corresponding Guidelines (ACCME, AdvaMED, FDA, etc)
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years, hospital, medical device or pharmaceutical billing and/or reimbursement experience in a management setting.
Demonstrated excellence in meeting and exceeding customer expectations especially in difficult situations.
Ability to effectively lead cross functional teams
Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of customer relations, product promotion and be able to interpret complex information.
Ability to work independently and perform timely follow up.
Competent in all Microsoft Office products.
Ability to travel up to 10%
PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in contract negotiation, and maintenance.
Broad knowledge of Medicare, managed care, third party payers and Medicaid is preferred.
Knowledge of Protected Health Information and The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy and Security guidelines.
Ability to lift 20 pounds
