Your daily responsibilities include :
Coordinating all activities pertaining to community events; developing and distributing press releases; creating analytical reports that monitor the effectiveness of social media initiatives; managing social media content; developing, implementing and tracking social media promotions; and working with other departments to maximize our social media exposure.
Represents the company at local area events as determined by our public relations strategy.
Coordinates all activities pertaining to community events which include but are not limited to maintaining a booth, providing brochures and distributing giveaway items.
Prepares press releases for approval and identifies media outlets and related contacts to be included in the distribution of the press release.
Coordinates the development of the Media Kit and its distribution.
Manages and updates the content on our website.
Prepares analytical reports to monitor the effectiveness of our website.
Develops the social media strategy for the company.
Coordinates messaging, develops promotions and generates responses in all social media tools.
Prepares analytical reports to measure the effectiveness of all social media initiatives.
Monitors the awareness and financial impact of social media and the impact it has on the overall marketing efforts.
Monitors trends in social media tools and applications and applies that knowledge to increase the use of social media by qualified customers.
Assists the Marketing Department with other duties as assigned.
Develops and maintains an outstanding rapport with the Marketing department, other departments and guests.
Understands and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set :

Three (3) years of related experience in a high volume company or industry of hospitality or a public supported business through social media.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred.
Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write press releases, reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to analyze and interpret results.
Must possess excellent computer skills, including a working knowledge of common business software such as Microsoft Office.

The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
