Summary
The
VP Finance reports to the College President and is responsible for overseeing all financial matters for ACE. This VP Finance works with the President to establish the College’s annual budget, oversees financial performance and expenditures and provides financial reports to the College management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance function for the College:
Cash management, including management of Bursar (student billing and collections)
Review payroll for accuracy, including approval employee pay changes
Review accounts payable for accuracy and timely payments
Approve all employee reimbursements
Manage monthly close process, analysis and reporting
Annual Reporting
Report quarterly results to Board of Trustees
Produce US GAAP financials
Ensure compliance with all tax / regulatory laws, including using outside tax consultants if necessary
Manage annual audit, working with outside auditors
Implement all corporate policies
Prepare and monitor annual financial budgets and periodic forecasts
Candidate will work closely with the Information Technology department to ensure company goals and strategies are being met.

Work directly with College President:
Analysis of business challenges and solutions
Assist in implementation of new initiatives
Participate as member of senior management Cabinet
Oversee all financial aspects of outside agency reporting (state education agencies,
regional accreditor, etc.)

Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor degree
in Accounting, CPA and/or advanced degree in business preferred
8+ years experience in full cycle accounting including accounts payable, cash management, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and monthly close management.
Proven leadership experience
Experience in preparing financial statements in accordance US GAAP
Experience with local tax compliance
Experience working with GreatPlains General Ledger
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solution oriented
Ability to execute, deliver and measure results
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong technology management experience.
