In this position, the successful candidate will work with Boeing colleagues throughout the Global Trade Controls organization, Boeing's businesses and other functions to achieve successful and timely approval of US Government (USG) export/import authorizations facilitating international trade in Boeing's products, technologies and services. Candidate will also identify, develop and implement strategies for engagement with the USG on technology and licensing policies in support of the company's international objectives. Plays a key role in the development, coordination and implementation of international trade, regulatory and policy strategies to support the company's increasingly complex international business objectives in existing commercial and defense market sectors. Provides expert guidance and support in the development of clear and actionable descriptions of complex product engineering and performance characteristics able to used by a wide variety of USG technical and non-technical personnel responsible for export/import authorization decisions.

The candidate must develop and maintain positive relationships with key USG decision-makers that implement international trade licensing and regulatory policy requirements within the Departments of Commerce, State, Treasury, Defense and other responsible agencies. Partners with government agencies on new import/export initiatives and pilot programs. Leads process improvement opportunities, provides feedback and offers solutions for effective licensing strategies. Collaborates effectively with multiple stakeholders within Boeing's programs, businesses and functions, ensuring that business requirements are understood and compliance requirements are maintained. Responsible for direct interface with the USG to provide information and responses to inquiries in support of export/import authorizations. This position will be responsible for administering activities governed by the U.S. Export Administration Regulations, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and may be responsible for additional activities administrated by the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Controls. May also be asked to perform other duties in support of Boeing's Global Trade Controls strategy and objectives, as assigned.
