POSITION: Registration Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Office of the University Registrar
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree Required. Minimum two years related work experience, preferably in higher education. Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary. Student service oriented. Ability to work to established deadlines. Excellent problem solving skills necessary. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays if necessary. Work schedule is 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. Friday hours will be 8:30 – 4:30.
FUNCTION: Perform a variety of administrative functions in support of the student records function of the Office of the University Registrar. Responsibilities require a thorough knowledge of department services and functions as well as knowledge of the Buckley Amendment (FERPA) governing the maintenance and processing of student records.
Oversee NSLC process regarding requests for student transcripts review financial clearance status with student accounts, communicate reasons to NSLC when transcripts cannot be released. Provide weekly reports to Associate Registrar regarding NSLC transcript activities.
Oversee degree verifications and student enrollment verification processing with NSLC.
Assist students with questions regarding online registrations, technology issues in regards to schedule changes, course withdrawals. Create courses for independent studies, and internships as submitted by students utilizing the Jenzabar system.
Create and generate student correspondence concerning registration and graduation events utilizing Informz.
Review advanced standing evaluations for current students for accuracy utilizing Jenzabar software system.
Manage departmental front office including supplies inventory, forms creation and coordinating facilities requests.
Respond to student, staff and faculty inquiries and direct and refer students to appropriate academic support areas.
Manage file retention process and document imaging and organization of student records.
Oversee student workers scheduling and tasks.
Manage appointment calendars and provide administrative support for University Registrar, Associate Registrar and Assistant Registrar
Maintain strict confidentiality of student records – adhere to the requirements of the Buckley Amendment as it applies to student records.
Perform special projects or other related duties as assigned.
