This position is that of a Police Officer assigned to Operations Division, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment in Cutler, ME. The Operations Division provides police services for the station and assigned areas. KEY REQUIREMENTS

Serves as a Police Officer providing law enforcement, physical security, anti-terrorism, and force protection services
Performs Sentry duty on gates and piers

Creditable experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a Military Police Officer/Master-at-Arms; in work providing visitor protection in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreation environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or other work that provided the required skills and knowledge.
successful completion of four (4) full years of undergraduate coursework leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science, Criminology, General Law, Law Enforcement, or a comparable degree program related to the work of a Police Officer.
a combination of the experience as described above and undergraduate-level education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. Successful completion of a Federal, State, county, or municipal police academy or comparable training course that included at least 40 classroom hours of instruction in police department procedures and methods, and local law and regulations, may be substituted for a maximum of three (3) months of specialized experience.
