The Cashiers are located at the University Campus and South Campus Hospitals with office hours of 8am – 5pm Monday thru Friday. The Cashier’s Office is a high volume and multi-tasking environment with a focus on excellent customer service for patients as well as departments within the company.
The primary purpose of these positions is to support Cash Control in regard to payments received by The University of Arizona Health Network ensuring timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of all monies.
Two years experience in cash handling (to include basic math skills and the ability to make change with currency) and verifying accounts receivables. Two years medical insurance experience, to include medical terminology. The ability to operate an on-line terminal to post payments and adjustments. Two years customer service experience. The ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Skill in 10-key by touch, data entry and computer experience. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Familiarity with CPT codes, HIC forms, EOB’s, and cashiering experience. Working knowledge of Accupost, advanced knowledge of IDX/Bar posting function, 10 key by touch and poses excellent math skills associated with balancing batches and files. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
