Professional Experience:
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in the Columbia, MD area.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Help Desk Specialist will r

esolve technical problems and answer queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems. Additionally, the individual will diagnose, identify, isolate and analyze problems utilizing historical database records. The HD Specialist may route calls to product line specialists, maintain and update records and tracking databases as well as alert management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Must have 6 years of experience with an AA Degree (or 8 years of experience) in support on Help Desk.

At least 2 years of experience must be in providing customer support on a help desk or call center supporting a mid-sized (1000+) user community.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph.

Desired Skills:
Experience managing and tracking customer help desk requests among a team of at least 10 technicians.

Experience using Remedy to create, update and manage tickets as well as creating custom searches and reports.

Experience managing accounts and forms within Remedy.

Experience communicating with customers via phone and e-mail in a professional manner.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 basic administrative functions.

Knowledge of intelligence analysis.

Current TS/SCI with Polygraph
