Job Description As a critical member of the Professional Services Team, the Application Engineer will participate in the technical design and development of new and existing applications. Using the understanding of the technologies, the Application Engineer will design and implement efficient and quality based application solutions that conform to customer requirements and Micros Retails technical standards. This position will work with other members of the development and consulting teams to design develop and implement high-quality solutions for Micros Retail customers. The ideal candidate must possess the skills outlined below and be able to function in a team-oriented, multi-faceted environment.

Qualifications Work with Product Consultants, Technical Business Analysts and clients to understand functional requirements of projects. Provide feedback on technical feasibility. Develop new and/or modify existing programs to meet clients business requirements. Unit test application changes to ensure conformance to design specifications and software performance. Work with clients and internal team members to provide technical support and consulting. Work with Quality Assurance personnel to research and resolve software problems. Implement technical designs in accordance with established programming and technical standards. Work closely with Project Management, Quality Assurance and Documentation in the development process to bring projects to successful conclusion. Perform work in a fee based environment according to budget and schedule parameters. Other duties as assigned. Domestic and international travel may be required.
