Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana is seeking a Marketing Service Representative for our Bozeman, MT office. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who is able to motivate others. You must enjoy detail work and complete it quickly, correctly, and efficiently. Every day will be different from the next as you interact and build relationships with a variety of internal and external customers. A strong service mindset and the ability to communicate cheerfully and persuasively are important skills.

This position is responsible for promoting and assisting sales and/or service activities among selected types of customers or prospects in assigned territories working in conjunction with the sales force, Account Manager and District Sales Manager. The Marketing Service Representative contacts existing and potential customers and resolves or refers customer problems to appropriate areas of the company. Will provide on-site benefit education for groups and will work with other areas to provide support, education, and interpretation of the benefit structures, and will act as coordinator in difficult cases.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support all efforts to conduct employee education and presentation on benefits.

Respond to customer and sales force concerns.

Build and maintain positive customer relations and resolve pending issues.

Act as a primary resource and provide customers and sales force with information on enrollment, eligibility, and benefits.

Support Account Manager and District Sales Manager in providing service to customers.

Support and track group renewals to ensure timelines are met.

Initiate new group and/or renewal paperwork timely and accurately.

Ensure that new group/renewal setups and processes are complete.

Promote and assist sales and service activities among selected types of customers or prospects in assigned territories.

Assist with field service visits and meetings with health benefit officers through the year.

Assist with group meetings during annual open enrollment.

Respond to benefit, claims, and membership inquiries timely and accurately.

Respond to requests for product supplies from representatives, groups, subscribers, and providers.

Maintain and enhance knowledge and understanding of business principles, legislation, and administrative rules and how these impact team and corporate processes.

Maintain an understanding of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana products.

Acquire and maintain knowledge and understanding of business interfaces including Customer Service, Membership, Underwriting, and Marketing.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s in marketing and two years’ health insurance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be licensed in the state of Montana to sell health insurance within three months of hire.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Industry certifications are desirable (i.e. Montana Life & Disability Producers License, Medicare Certification.)
