To develop a comprehensive communications plan and strategy for the Office of Development and the campaign for UAB. To oversee a broad range of communications and to ensure a consistent communications strategy primarily for the Advancement Services, Stewardship and Development offices. To focus specifically on comprehensive campaign messaging and assist with the messaging and content of funding proposal drafts and other development marketing and stewardship materials. To develop web content and implement an ongoing social media strategy. To collaborate with the Office of Public Relations and Marketing on media relations for development specific press releases, statements, donor stories and other relevant earned media.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field and ten (10) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to define marketing and strategic communications goals and objectives, identify target audiences, and develop and implement strategic communications plans to accomplish goals.
