Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation & Electrical Operations Technician for our Milagro Natural Gas Treating Plant within the Four Corners Area. The I&E Operations Technician will be responsible for the troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance and repair of all equipment and instrumentation related to plant.
Operate and maintain Solar, General Electric (GE), and Elliot turbine applications
Assist with the operation and maintenance of gas-fired heaters and gas dehydration
Properly complete operating and maintenance records, service reports, and other required documentation
Conduct scheduled plant operation inspections which include equipment and process readings, flow changes, process adjustments, and liquid handling
Be responsible for projects and duties assigned by supervision
Communicate and interpret mechanical performance information, while following directions and requests from others via a plant radio system
Assist with the operation and maintenance of gas-fired heaters, gas dehydrations units, reciprocating compression units and centrifugal compression units
Assist with the operation and maintenance of pumps, fans, AC motors, measurement devices, PLC’s, transmitters, safety devices, and all related piping and vessel systems
A successful candidate must
Posses excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have at least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years industry experience, not including a technical degree
Demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills, while creating a stable and productive partnership with each
Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and overall adequate PC skills
Posses and maintain a good driving record
Maintain confidentialities, while demonstrating professional conduct and b Demonstrates professional conduct and business ethics
Be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods of time
Learn and perform a wide range of tasks associated with the natural gas industry.
Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, fleet vehicles, and tools
Be able to carry and lift items that can weigh 50lbs or more.
Attend regular training to stay compliant and knowledgeable of new standards and equipment technology
Be available to work shift work, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and call outs
Work and support a team environment, while working under limited supervision
Consistently demonstrates proficiency in leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills
A successful candidate may
Previously worked with Distributive Control System (DCS) applications and Chromatographs
Effectively cope with change and can act without having the complete and total picture
Performs a wide spectrum of non-routine moderate to high complexity assignments that require technical evaluation, innovation, and good judgment
Thoroughly understands industry and system requirements
