SUMMARY: The Shift Production Coordinator is responsible for working with all departments to ensure products flows efficiently from roasting to packaging to distribution. This person will also work with supervision to streamline efficiency of production with emphasis on training and quality.

HOURS: Sunday - Wednesday, 4:00 pm. - 2:30 a.m.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Reports directly to supervisor and assists in overseeing shift team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tracks and monitors daily shift activities and makes adjustments as needed to ensure product is packaged in a timely manner
Facilitate the effective interchange of information between work groups, between work groups and support resources at the plant and from within GMCR.
Supports continuous improvement goals and safety, quality, cost and customer service.
Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues.
Works with production supervisor to ensure resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules.
Work with Production Supervisors to identify and report any quality control issues that need correction

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
Ensures that operating policy and procedures are consistently followed and maintained.
Establish and sustain sound relationships with all employees in order to foster an environment where innovative methods are used to involve others in creative solutions to issues.
Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
Performs other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Prior supervision or team leader experience preferred
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff in a respectful and collaborative manner
Strong computer skills working within a Microsoft Office platform and with Peoplesoft experience preferred
Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our Manufacturing best practices.
Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift 75 pounds frequently with mechanical assistance
Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift
Ability to push/pull up to 1.500 pounds using supplied equipment
Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
