POSITION SUMMARY: This position must fully meet Teller standards including responsibility for balancing daily within a reasonable time and with minimum differences according to Bank's established Teller Difference Policy. Must have required Teller skills to assist in training new Tellers, and may travel to a specific Branch to assist with the training of a new Teller. May be responsible for opening and closing the facility and/or vault under dual control. A float Teller will not be assigned to a specific Branch and will work at any Branch within a region as needed. Also, a Float Teller will be assigned to the cost center of and managed by the area Operation Manager. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: High School diploma or equivalent required, or in process of acquiring a High School diploma Minimum of 18-24 months Teller experience required Proficient at Teller Level II skills and responsibilities Strong interpersonal skills required Face-to-face customer service skills preferred DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve clients at Teller window in a courteous and professional manner by processing a variety of transactions using good judgment within prescribed limits regarding the validity of transaction requested Follow all policies and guidelines carefully including internal security measures, and those in the First Midwest Bank Teller Policy Manual and Teller Procedure Manual Continued participation in the Bank's sales program, as well as continued development of needs identification and referral skills Mentor other Tellers on referral/sales activities and product knowledge Assist in Branch Pep and Deployment meetings Participate in all required training sessions for Compliance Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility Implement bank-directed changes relating to regulatory amendments Attend and participate in training classes offered by First Midwest Training & Development specific to the Teller position Work with Branch Manager, Teller Supervisor and coworkers towards development and achievement of Bank, Branch and individual goals Assist Teller Supervisor with Foreign Currency, Collections and Coin & Currency/Teller Suspense reconciliation May be responsible to balance ATM where appropriate Demonstrate mastery of job skills relating to Teller operations and an excellent knowledge and understanding of Bank products, services, procedures and policies The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Schedule: Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work any scheduled days/hours within the indicated timeframes. When this position works Saturday and/or Sunday, time off during the week will be scheduled.
