The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky invites applications for multiple tenured/tenure-track faculty positions at the Lexington campus beginning fall semester 2013. These positions require a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline and a commitment to excellence in research, teaching and professional service.
Preference will be given to those at the assistant and associate professor ranks, and to those in the targeted area of thermal-fluid sciences (especially CFD of low-Mach number flows involving turbulence and/or combustion), who can complement existing strengths within the department. Anderson Building with state of the art computational facilities, research labs and classrooms.
Opportunities for multi-disciplinary research exist with a number of college-affiliated centers and institutes.
