Description
The Product Manager will be responsible for the creation / enhancement of a portfolio of products supporting the fulfillment process of mortgages within the Real Estate line of business and aligning these products with Citigroup's business strategy. The Product Manager will develop the strategy for our systemic products as it corresponds with the Global Consumer Group Technology Roadmap. It entails working with the business to understand their model, strategy, and competitive analysis enabling the development of product roadmaps that marry the business and technology directions. In addition to product roadmaps, the Product Manager will be responsible for providing a strong consultancy to the business and technology teams on behalf of the products and its uses. The Product Manager will also liaison with the Global Product Management organization to ensure product strategies are in alignment with Global initiatives and strategic direction. The Product Manager will be responsible to define and plan product enhancements, to set strategic direction of the product based on customer needs as well as business and IT goals, to interpret strategic goals into operational initiatives, make proposals to senior management regarding implications of proposed initiatives, to serve as a representative to internal and external clients about the product, to take the lead in establishing tactical plans and objectives where and when required; also needs to develop and implement operational priorities ensuring achievement of business objectives and evaluate the risks and trade-offs of projects and propose alternative contingency plans as needed. Additionally, the product manager is accountable to review the product's benefits as it relates to the enhancements and changes to the product in relation to the business projects being implemented. Qualifications Candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of technology management or consultant experience. Bachelors degree required. Strong understanding of the mortgage business with a minimum of 5 years mortgage business experience through an operational or technology role.Candidate will have exceptional leadership skills with strong interpersonal & communication skills (both oral and written). Previous experience leading large project teams or large project initiatives is required. Candidate must have ability to deal with multiple levels of authority with ease (from senior managers to "C" level management to task oriented workers). Candidate will be required to create and give presentations to senior decision makers and large audiences alike. Need someone with strong planning, organization and time management experience that is strategically oriented, an innovative thinker, and a demonstrated and decisive decision maker. Candidate should have an understanding of latest technologies and trends in the software industry to make proper strategic decisions. Knowledge of RM tools, BPM tools, Use Cases, UI software a plus. Must be able to manage initiatives that span multiple geographic locations and time zones. Travel required. Advanced Degree (MA, MS, MBA or PhD) a plus
