The Role- The Internal Agency operates as a Marketing and Advertising Agency within Bloomberg, responsible for creating communication strategies and design solutions that solve business problems. It reports to the head of Global Brand Management. It is a diverse group of art-directors and specialist designers, collaboratively working on assignments for print, environmental, interactive and broadcast projects.
The Internal Agency has both design and production capabilities. The design function has a strong hands-on approach to design, carrying out initial concept development and using external talent as well as internal support to achieve the best end results. The production function ensures concepts are carried through to execution, working with both our internal resources as well as external vendors to produce materials.
The Internal Agency handles projects for the Central & Business Unit Marketing teams as well as other departments, e.g. Philanthropy, Internal Communications and Bloomberg Space. All departments may also use external design and brand consultancies and agencies to implement projects effectively. The Internal Agency will be measured on results from the campaigns they produce.
The Traffic Manager/Producer is critical to the overall performance of the Internal Agency. The position demands production and project management skills, sophisticated and sympathetic communication skills, and ruthless efficiency backed up by 360-degree vision in support of the brand and the effective execution of the IA’s tasks.
Overall Responsibilities - The Traffic Manager/Producer is responsible for monitoring and facilitating the flow of projects through the Internal Agency. - The Traffic Manager/Producer acts as liaison between Program Managers, Business Unit Marketers and the Internal Agency creative teams to manage projects with aggressive timelines across multiple business units. - The position is accountable for the processes and systems that ensure the smooth running of the Internal Agency, as well as being a contributor to the overall quality of the agency’s creative output.
Specific Responsibilities - Oversight and management of the work flow of the creative projects/assets produced by the internal agency. - Monitors the project initiation process, including ensuring proper documentation and briefings - Creates and shares timelines for each project deliverable - Supervises proofreading and legal review process - Schedules internal work sessions as needed on a per-project basis - Tracks jobs through the agency - Conducts weekly status meetings and schedules regular traffic/production meetings as needed - Routes jobs for internal approvals - Expedites workflow - Secures estimates when needed - Manages use of brand assets - Monitors assignments and plans for workload capacity - Participates in long-term planning and resource allocation discussions - Manages freelancer scheduling and budget - Works with IA lead to manage IA budget

Qualifications - 3+ years experience in production and traffic or project management in an advertising, marketing, or PR agency environment. - BA/BS degree required. Candidates with a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, Visual, Fine or Commercial Arts, Art Design or related field preferred. - Thorough understanding of print and collateral design and production processes and interactive communications and delivery systems processes required. - Knowledgeable of advanced job workflow management database systems and advanced asset management systems. - Excellent organizational and communication skills (project management training from PMI or other recognized organization a plus) - Computer proficiency in both PC and Mac platforms; proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel; knowledge of Adobe products.
