Join this successful and growing business as a Partner Marketing Manager working with our OpenEdge Application Partners !
Our Application Partners are Independent Software Vendors (ISV), Cloud / Software as a Service (SaaS) providers, and custom application development companies.
Working closely with our team of Partner Account Managers and our Global Channel team, you’ll work with your assigned partners to develop business plans and go-to-market campaigns. The campaigns need to drive demand for the partners business in their voice, supported by Progress Software. This is different from the traditional reseller approach of promoting the vendor’s message and the partner’s value-added services.
As our partners expand their current offerings to include Cloud /SaaS and Mobile with OpenEdge 11, you’ll need to ensure the campaign plans align with the partners’ businesses goals and growth plans. This will include creating marketing plans and campaigns to expand into new markets (solution, product, technology, geography, etc.) so your strategic marketing skills will be put to the test as you engage each of your partners in deep strategic discussions and then build the tactical campaign plans to set them up for success.
Your work will include, but is not limited to:
•Taking a consultative approach to design, develop and execute marketing campaigns to educate and drive demand to help your partners penetrate their markets
•Closely monitoring marketing campaign effectiveness, accurately reporting on the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI), and making dynamic adjustments to improve results when necessary
•Working collaboratively with our global channel team to align plans and help your partners reap the benefits of our partner program
•Participating in regularly scheduled calls and meetings with regional sales teams, providing ongoing updates to the field, and proactively soliciting feedback
•Working with our creative services team and external marketing agencies and vendors to design, develop and execute marketing campaigns including a variety of demand generation tactics like e-mail marketing, direct mail, social media marketing, webcasts, seminars, etc.
Ideal candidates for this role will have experience building marketing campaigns for software vendors, either in-house as a Marketing Manager for a software vendor or from an agency or vendor relationship.
•6+ years of marketing experience with a high concentration developing marketing programs within the software industry
•Developing marketing plans to drive software vendor partner business.
•Software reseller marketing is not a match for this role.
•Demonstrate a consultative partner relationship management approach
•Recent, first-hand experience planning and executing demand generation campaigns and inbound marketing
•Extensive knowledge of all marketing techniques and strategies including building marketing plans
•Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner, including strong experience presenting and collaborating with cross-functional teams, with executive management, with partners and other external parties
•Ability to determine what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and prioritizing work effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results
•Team Player - Demonstrates the ability to work with a team to rapidly produce results
•Organized multi-tasker – able to manage multiple partners and quickly recognize priorities for company across a variety of initiatives
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Experience with Webinar administration, Eloqua and SalesForce.com
•BS Degree, MBA a plus.
