SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
Development : Research potential funding sources and develop grant proposals. Prepare data for grant applications, including gathering and analyzing statistical information.
Marketing : Update and maintain website and social media sites. Analyze client demographics using statistical metrics and producing easy to read reports and graphs. Update and design internal and external written materials such as pamphlets, application and letterhead. Some writing of digital newsletter, configuring layout and emailing via Constant Contact.
Technology : Interface and team with IT provider. Serve as IT liaison with staff and Executive Director.
Grant Information Management : Assist with preparation and submission of reports, narratives, and other documents requested by grantors. Compile statistical and demographic data from electronic case management system and client files. Respond to funder inquiries and requests for additional information. Maintain and manage electronic and hardcopy grant files. Produce reports, forms and letters.
Fundraising : Assist with fundraising efforts, including annual dinner and other special events. Help manage event logistics and execution. Communicate with donors. Manage individual donor database records through Blackbaud online software. Manage mailings. Confirm donations and manage other written and verbal communication with donors.
Assist Executive Director : Manage the Executive Director's schedule and telephone calls. Prepare Board and committee materials and schedule meetings. Attend and take minutes at Board meetings. Perform other executive assistant duties as required.
•Strong commitment to mission and work.
•B.A. or B.S. or four years' experience in private or public grants administration with familiarity of best practices in grant processes and procedures.
•Able to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
•Outstanding attention to detail and highly organized.
•Strong computer skills, including internet, Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel. Knowledge of AbacusLaw, WordPress, Constant Contact or similar programs required. Experience using Graphic Design Software and Blackbaud or eTapestry a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to organize large amounts of data, and able to establish schedules and performance indicators.
•Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to exercise sound Independent judgment, and comfortable working in a small and collaborative team environment.
