Responsible for the transfer of Lean Manufacturing Technology, leading improvement projects, and the development of strategic and capital plans. This individual will work closely with all business functions which includes manufacturing, maintenance, tooling, management, HR, IS, engineering (both design and manufacturing), quality, safety, materials, environmental, accounting, and industrial design to develop improvement strategies and implement solutions that will meet or exceed Company goals.

  • This position requires a four-year degree and five years’ experience or a two-year degree and ten years’ experience. Lean implementation experience is mandatory. Association of Manufacturing Excellence (AME), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Lean certification at the bronze level is desired. Technical skills and training such as CAD layout, simulation, problem solving, and training may be required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Prior experience working with teams across organizational boundaries is required. Must have the ability to create and follow project plans and establish metrics that will demonstrate project success. Must have the ability to establish systems that transfer information after projects are completed to assure improvements are sustained.
