Responsible for communicating the St. Jude story and messaging through the conceptual development and creative writing of fundraising, educational and marketing materials. Partners with Marketing and Development divisions in support of organization-wide initiatives. Leads creative writing efforts for the organization’s strategic initiatives that bring in upwards of $200 million in revenue annually. Works closely with conceptual designers, operations team and other staff to ensure overall consistency, accuracy and timeliness of assigned projects and campaigns. Contributes to organization-wide initiatives such as branding, campaign development/management, case studies and other projects.
Requires thorough knowledge of creative writing and/or communications/marketing; ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations; thorough knowledge of English spelling, grammar and usage; ability to understand complex verbal or written instructions; excellent typing skills, writing and editing skills; excellent organizational and project management skills; thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat; experience using Adobe Creative suite a plus; writing and editing knowledge; knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, Advertising or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in professional creative writing. Must possess a valid driver's license.
