Job Summary The Home Health Aide (HHA) is a paraprofessional trained with in the organization to provide care services and administer specific nursing procedures, supportive therapy services and emotional support to patients, caregivers and family.
The primary nurse or therapist on a case provides the direct supervision of the patient care provided by the HHA. The HHA is also accountable to a designated Team Leader. Qualifications and Requirements Education Background High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of Nursing Assistant training course.
Work Experience Prior home care experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or experience in a supervised health care setting, such as a hospital or nursing home. License or Certification Certification as a nursing assistant required. Current Washington State driverâs license and proof of insurability. Reliable transportation.
Other transportation arrangements upon the approval of the Director. Motor Vehicle Experience/Record All drivers must be 18 years of age and have been driving for a minimum of two (2) years, although 21 years of age is preferred. All drivers must have a current, valid Washington State Drivers License, current auto insurance and meet the following criteria: ⢠No major (*) or capital violation (**) on their driving record, ⢠No more than one (1) at fault accident in the past three (3) years, ⢠No more than one (1) moving violation in the past twelve (12) months or two (2) in three (3) years, ⢠No more than one (1) accident and moving violation combined in the past twelve (12) months, ⢠No more than two (2) accidents and moving violations combined in the past three (3) years. (*) Major violation: includes driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, reckless driving resulting in bodily injury or property damage or negligent homicide.
(**) Capital violation: includes driving after a driverâs license was suspended, murder or assault with a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, hit and run, operating a vehicle after the registration was revoked or using false or fictitious driverâs license or registration plates
