Job Summary: Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Responsible for documenting requirements and defining scope and objectives to parallel overall business strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Elicit, develop and write system requirements in order to help the business describe current needs in terms that outside technologists can interpret
2. Responsible for reviewing computers and computer programs and advising business stakeholders on ways to make processes more efficient and staff more productive
3. Assist in cost/benefit analysis to help align the company’s technology with business strategies
4. Drive efficiency and operational improvement through business process definition, system alignment, and optimization of standard business application functionality
5. Assess computer systems in order to help determine where technology improvements can be made
6. Act as a strategic partner between field/customers and IT team to resolve functional and technical issues related to business applications
7. Research ongoing Company needs and help develop systems that benefit business goals
8. Manage requests from business sponsors and users with incident management and change control process and convert the requests from both into a workable solution to present to technologists
9. Work together with IT professionals to create, develop and implement business products and services
10. Ensure design for system meets requirements
11. Manage requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle
12. Test software and/or coordinate testing environment for User Acceptance Testing and other test efforts as needed
13. Develop references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
14. Provide user support and training

Position Requirements:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• Minimum 5-7 years experience; wireless telecom or utility industry experience preferred
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of the most up to date, advanced technologies
• Deep business applications experience (including Oracle Financials, Purchasing, Inventory, and Order Management)
• Full analytical capability based on understanding of technical architecture and query tools
• Experience in software implementations, requirements gathering, systems analysis, and functional design
• Advanced in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Extremely strong understanding of information technology software and systems
• Oracle ERP experience a plus
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies
• Experience in developing with Use Cases and other requirements development tools and techniques
• Ability to translate from business to technology terms
• Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrices
• Experience with three-point estimation for project planning
• Experience with quality assurance tools and techniques
Soft Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff to convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form
• Ability to quickly grasp concepts relating to customizations that have been designed and developed
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Public speaking and presentation skills
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
• Project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
• Must be able to work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
• Travel up to 25% of the time
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Must possess valid driver’s license
