is a leading trader, distributor and provider of risk management solutions serving the global ferrous industry. Our mission is to provide liquidity and risk management solutions for our partners including mines, scrap-yards, steel producers and steel consumers. Cargill Metals has an exciting opportunity to grow and develop Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). This position requires strong commercial leadership as well as strategy development resulting in continued OEM growth. Responsibilities include continued development, growth and coordination of commercial activities within our service centers to best serve our OEM accounts. Develop, Manage and coach East Chicago outside sales representatives to grow our volume and margins in the Midwest. Active collaboration with other Cargill business and services to bring distinctive value to our customers and add value for Cargill.
50% - Account Management - Develop, grow and serve our OEM customer base. Includes face-to-face contact on a regular basis, inventory management, on-time delivery, pricing, etc.
30% - Talent Management - Ensure business objectives are met through effective people practices, including development, mentoring, coaching, recognition
10% - Establish volume and Margin objectives for OEMs and sales team (Budgets)
5% - Establish connectivity between the customer and Cargill. This will require a meaningful commitment of time, and learning about Cargill, including Metals
5% - Work with Midwest General Manager and Granite City manager to ensure good cooperation amongst sales teams and most effective use of plant assets.
10 or more years sales experience
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) sales experience
Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to travel up to 50%
