Lovelace Health Plan has a Training Specialist II - Instructional Designer.

The Training Specialist II - Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the design and development of training materials for LHP. The individual will work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and trainers from multiple departments to identify training need and conduct occupational training analyses. The successful candidate will apply instructional systems design (ISD) principles to the analysis, design, development and evaluation of instructor-led, blended learning and computer–based training environments. The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to manage projects in a systematic process. This individual must possess expertise/experience in curriculum development and training strategies based on current adult learning theory. The candidate will have the ability to demonstrate different approaches for ISD to bring fresh ideas to the design of robust, engaging, and effective instruction. The position requires a high degree of team interaction therefore, strong communication skills are necessary. Excellent verbal and written skills are also necessary.

Minimum: Bachelors degree in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Organizational Development or related field of study. Education may be substituted for related experience.

Adult learning principles, ISD, and training skills.

Ability to communicate effectively; ability to work independently, and MS Office Suite. Desired: Adult Learning Principles. Knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, and Claims background.

Two (2) – five (5) years of related experience in Training & Development.

Desired - American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) CPLP or International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) CPT
