Performs advanced, non-invasive cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in a variety of age-specific populations, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. These exams are performed in accordance with the guidelines and standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiographic Laboratories (ICAEL).

Required: Associates Degree
Preferred: Bachelors Degree
Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS),CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Position Responsibilities: Demonstrates competency in cardiac ultrasound by independently performing high quality, diagnostic ultrasound studies, including routine transthoracic studies, dobutamine and stress echocardiograms and advanced studies such as PVI and dyssynchrony studies. Promotes a service-oriented environment to be responsive to the concerns and needs of patients, family and visitors. Uses appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills in all encounters, to promote collaborative work relationships. Supports the Cardiographics Laboratory by demonstrating a commitment to teamwork. Demonstrates a commitment to the concept of self-managed behavior, promoting department professionalism.
